LIDA® Tubolar Anodes

For over 40 years, LIDA mixed metal oxide anodes have set the standard for reliability & dependability.

More than 3000 sq.km. (more than 500,000 anodes) of LIDA anodes have been installed in over 30 countries around the world in various applications such as soil, water, concrete and sand.

Developed in the 1980s as an innovative alternative for traditional cathodic protection anodes (CP anodes), De Nora LIDA anodes are the original mixed metal oxide MMO anodes (MMO anodes) for corrosion prevention.  These impressed current anodes have provided:

  • Pipeline cathodic protection
  • Storage tank cathodic protection
  • Lock, dam, and water box cathodic protection
  • Offshore structure cathodic protection

Learn more about LIDA anodes

Why chose De Nora’s LIDA anodes for traditional cathodic protection?

  • Lightweight and easy to transport, handle, and install
  • Flexible and robust design availability
  • Proven durability, long product life-cyclelife cycle
  • Exclusive, trusted global distributor network

The groundbreaking lightweight material and available designs of these MMO anodes dramatically simplify the installation of cathodic protection for industrial steel structures everywhere.

All LIDA MMO anodes are manufactured with a titanium base and a precious metal oxide coating. The mixed metal oxide is a crystalline, electrically conductive coating that activates the titanium and enables it to function as an anode. When applied on titanium, the coating has an extremely low consumption rate, measured in milligrams per year.

LIDA anodes are 100% helium pressure checked to guarantee  the mechanical connection for dependability. The LIDA connections are manufactured with a unique crimping process ensuring reliability.

Why choose De Nora LIDA® Anodes?

LIDA anodes are suitable for various environments.

Operating in soil, freshwater, mud, or seawater, LIDA MMO coatings demonstrate very high chemical stability even in environments with very low pH values. Unlike other impressed current anodes, LIDA coatings are not affected by the generation of chlorine. In combination with a chlorine-resistant wire lead, LIDA anodes offer a great solution in salty and brackish environments.

De Nora is a trusted partner, dedicated to protecting your assets and much more.

You can trust that original LIDA MMO anodes will deliver exceptional results.

In addition to its technical prowess in corrosion prevention, LIDA anodes align strongly with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. By offering a durable and reliable solution for cathodic protection, LIDA anodes contribute to environmental sustainability by prolonging the lifespan of metal structures, reducing the need for frequent replacements, and minimizing the environmental impact associated with corrosion-related maintenance activities. Moreover, their widespread adoption globally promotes social well-being by ensuring the safety and integrity of critical infrastructure, thus safeguarding communities and ecosystems against the potential hazards of corrosion-related incidents. De Nora's commitment to responsible manufacturing practices underscores their dedication to governance standards, ensuring that their products meet stringent quality and safety requirements while adhering to ethical business practices. Through these combined efforts, LIDA anodes not only offer superior corrosion protection but also embody a commitment to sustainability, safety, and ethical conduct, making them a conscientious choice for corrosion prevention needs.
